📍 Part 1: China Cultural Exchange (June 17 – June 28)

Action: Email a clear copy of your passport to Mr. Ivan Lee at 803362@lszjy.edu.cn to receive your official invitation letter.

🛂 Visa & Entry Documentation (F Visa)

Apply for your F-Visa at the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles. Upon arrival at Shanghai Pudong (PVG), you must complete the physical Yellow Arrival Card before heading to immigration.

Visa No: The red number in the top right corner of your Chinese Visa.

🛬 Arrival Procedure at Shanghai PVG

Fingerprint Kiosks: Scan your passport at the kiosks before the immigration line. Keep the “OK” slip.
Health Declaration: Complete the digital form to get your “Black QR Code” for customs.
Immigration: Join the “Foreigners” line. Present your Passport, Yellow Card, “OK” slip, and Invitation Letter.

📍 Part 2: Taiwan Language Immersion (June 28 – July 18)

💳 Program Fee & Payment ($750)

Payment: Mail a check to Rio Hondo College (Attn: Dr. Adam Wetsman) or pay at the Cashier’s Office.
Proof: Email your receipt to sliu@riohondo.edu or drop it off at office A221.

📑 Taiwan Online Arrival Card (TWAC)

Complete this online within 72 hours of landing:

🚌 Transportation to Chihlee University

Option A: Group Pickup (Recommended)

Arrive at Taoyuan (TPE) on June 28 before 6:00 AM.
The college tour bus departs at 8:00 AM sharp.

Option B: Independent Arrival (After 6:00 AM or different date)

HSR/MRT: Take the Airport MRT to A18 Taoyuan HSR Station, then take a Northbound train to Banqiao Station.
Taxi: From the airport directly to the university (Approx. $40–$50 USD / NT$1,200 – NT$1,500).

Option C: Arriving at Songshan Airport (TSA)

Taxi: Approx. $10–$15 USD.

📍 Part 3: Multi-City Trip & Transitions

For students attending both programs (June 17 – July 18):

Route: LAX → Shanghai (PVG) → Taipei (TSA/TPE) → LAX.
June 28 Transition: Fly from Shanghai (PVG) to Taipei Songshan (TSA).
Note: No shuttle is provided from TSA. A taxi to the university is approx. $10–$15 USD.
July 18 Transition: Return to LAX from Taiwan Taoyuan (TPE).
